Penelope Cruz is real scared to sing for auditions. This adds up to her already-existing hesitation and fear for offering speeches and hot live interviews on the red carpet. For her role in the musical Nine, Penelope had actually danced and sung, much to her own amazement. “Nine is the first time I sing, dance and do a musical. It was lots of fun but scary too,” says Penelope. What did she do extra to manage it well? “I did five castings to get the movie with all the dancing and singing,” says she.
